The hare and magpie sculpture, Maria-Magdalena church, the cultural and community centre and the regional museum to mention but a few items.
A large number of superb attractions and events, such as the flower market, the Marne Aktiv Messe, Midsummer, the town rally and concerts in the context of the Schleswig-Holstein-Music Festival all contribute to making a visit to Marne a truly unforgettable experience.
Celebrating is in our blood too!
Whether its carnival, the Neufeld Port Festival or the Marne Town Festival as part of the Dithmarscher Kohltage – we'll always find an excuse for a good celebration!
Just like ebb tide and flood tide, our landscape too is very variegated. Bordering on the Wadden Sea, the flat marshland extends several kilometres inland, before giving way to the undulating moorland, with its many hedgerows, meadows and woodlands.
Enjoy your holiday, go out on tours of discovery either on foot or by bike – or simply leave all your cares behind for a while; there are untold opportunities for any of this here.
